Welcome to my Blog!
Hey there! Welcome to my blog, I’m so glad you’re here! Let me tell you a little about myself. I’ll start with a confession: I have no idea what I want to be when I grow up! I’ve never known! I started college with the idea that I would be a psychologist. Quickly learning that was not for me, I switched my major to elementary education. Also, NOT for me. I love children, but I’m not creative enough to entertain them for several different lessons daily. Teachers really do have a tough job! Eventually I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies (basically a major in nothing).
Not knowing where I wanted to go in life, I applied to several communications companies (they seemed to be the only companies hiring no-major college graduates). I had always liked computers and cellphones. My family always comes to me to troubleshoot their technology issues, so I thought it might be a good fit. After being hired to work in a retail location for one of the big mobility companies, I was promoted several times and held multiple positions. But, last February, I was laid-off. I then took classes to get my license to sell real estate. But a little secret about me, I HATE talking on the phone. Realtors talk on the phone all the time. This career path was also not for me.
Losing my job was a blessing in disguise. I certainly didn’t expect it, but the job was very stressful and my work-life balance was terrible. Since then, I’ve been working at home and spending much more time with my growing family. I am truly a happier person and I thank God that he did me this favor.
Since my lay-off, I’ve been busy. I got engaged, planned my wedding in only one month, got married, and gave birth to a bouncing baby boy and 20 months later, a beautiful baby girl. My family now has 7 members: myself and my husband: Jason, three kids: Kendra, Luca, and Milana, and two fur babies: Penny and Jack.
The only “work” I have ever loved: decorating homes and party planning. This was always something I have loved and been passionate about. Friends and family members constantly ask me for advice and help when it comes to designing. That’s why I’m here. I’m ready to share my ideas with the world! I’m just getting started on this project but I hope in the future you’ll find lots of useful information on my site!
Thanks for visiting!
